Proprietary Data Acquisition Solution

Purpose & Application

We are currently upgrading one of our unique and proprietary solutions, previously designed for MAXIMO® version 4.1.1, to align and make compatible with MAXIMO® version 6.2 (MXES®) and to cater to a larger industry target. The previous industry target for this tool was Oil & Gas.

Our internal R&D team is currently working on this upgrade and we hope to market the new upgraded product in a few months time.

The scope and purpose of this tool was to develop a system for Company’s Projects Contractors to load equipment, locations and materials (stores inventory) data and provide a tool for Company’s Engineers to verify the data and augment it with other additional data to make it ready to load into MAXIMO®. It had a module to load the verified data into MAXIMO®.

Intended Benefits

• Prevent duplication of records related to equipment and item numbers.
• Provide reporting, analysis and viewing of all records in different SPIR versions in the common database.
• Provide access to multiple on line users.
• Designed to meet minor and major projects requirements:

Note: Major projects usually include about 100 to 300 SPIR from 5,000 to 50,000 Locations / Tag / Equipment and up to 10,000 items. Minor projects usually contain 1 to 5 SPIR, 5 to 30 Locations / Tag / Equipment and 40 to 200 items Technology & Database Platforms:

The previously designed technology and platform were:

• Microsoft Access Version XP is used for development.
• SQL Server 2000 (Staging Database)
• SQL Server 2000 (MAXIMO® Database)

Our internal R&D team is working to make it compatible to both MS SQL Server® and Oracle® in the upcoming release.
